As the US population ages, increasing numbers of people find themselves in one way or another caring for an elderly relative. Thus, it becomes important for caregivers of elders, both family and professionals, to learn how to care for an older person when the need arises. In under 15 minutes per program, the training provides clear, easy-to-understand information on various topics important to the health of individuals needing long-term care.

Titles include:

Safe Transfers
Safe transferring prevents numerous complications of prolonged bed rest and minimizes potential injury to both caregiver and elder. This program teaches how to assess what transfer techniques are appropriate, what equipment solutions are available, and gives basic information on how to use available tools.

Pressure Ulcer Identification & Prevention
Pressure Ulcers, commonly called bedsores, can cause potentially life-threatening infections and cancer. This program provides clear and easy-to-understand information on pressure ulcer identification and prevention.

Oral Hygiene
Poor oral hygiene may lead to serious health problems and discomfort. Incorporating both a dental and a nursing background, this program demonstrates how to identify if dental care is required and how to properly care for the oral health of the elderly.
