Darwin and Newts are back at it again! Through their fantastic escapades, discover and experiment with early learning science and engineering principles while exploring the natural wonders around their incredible home in New Zealand. Outdoor play, hands on experimentation and FUN are at the forefront as Darwin and Newts use their trike, zipline and waka to navigate their world and face each new challenge with imagination, perseverance and lots and lots of giggles. Darwin’s Big Air Darwin wants to get big air on his BMX bike, so Heni and Newts help him practice! The Wobbly Way Home Darwin and Newts use balancing skills and teamwork when they have to take a shortcut home before it gets dark. Babycritters Club When Heni runs a dance for all the local animals, Darwin and Newts mind their babies and learn about their habitats and what they eat. Mirror Mirror When Darwin brings home a mirror, Kea sees her reflection and falls in love with her new friend. The Whole Tooth Darwin and Newts go on an adventure to match a lost tooth to its owner. Bee Good Darwin and Newts are on a boogie-dancing mission to help a baby Bee find her way home. The Bare Bird Bath Kea’s bird bath keeps running out of water, and after investigating the problem, Darwin and Newts discover that the water is evaporating in the sun. Rip Roaring Roller Coaster Darwin and Newts build their own roller-coaster and learn how trains stay on track and how you can loop the loop. Wapiti's Wheely Good Waka Darwin and Newts are preparing their waka for summer, but when Wapiti turns up in a wheelchair, they have to find a way to make the waka more accessible. KiwiFruit Valley Christmas When a Christmas Eve storm wrecks the festive preparations of Darwin Newts and Heni they remember how important their friendship is and work together to create a Christmas celebration that may not be perfect but is full of aroha. Star Catchers Darwin and Newts learn about star constellations when they go on a nighttime adventure with Wapiti and the other nocturnal creatures. Space Invaders Darwin and Newts board the rocket ship Tuhura and explore the solar system, learning a little about each of the eight planets along the way. Chasing the Sun Darwin and Newts try to find out where the Sun goes when it sets and learn what is really happening when the Sun “moves” across the sky. Kiwifruit Valley Flower Show Darwin, Newts and Heni compete in the Kiwifruit Valley Flower Show and have to get creative when things don’t go to plan. Rock Around the Clock While admiring the sea life in an ocean rock pool, Darwin & Newts discover that the water level is lowering. They try to stop the leak to save the creatures but learn that they did not need to worry. The Frog in the Fog A heavy sea fog rolls in while Darwin and Burpee are on the island, so Newts and Kea need to build a lighthouse to help them navigate the waka home. Lighting Up the Sky Darwin and Newts build solar-powered lights to help them feed an injured kiwi in the forest. The River Race Darwin, Newts and Heni compete in a river race using rubber band boats, but when Newts’ boat zooms off in the wrong direction, they have to work out why. The Underground Wonders Darwin and Newts explore a cave system and discover there’s a whole other world underground, with a river, rock formations, and an array of amazing creatures. Burpee and Keas Balloon Adventure Darwin and Newts solve the problem of finding out how far things are apart by using a balloon-camera to take an aerial photo. Whodunnit When Darwin’s precious Toki goes missing, he and Newts become detectives for the day to find it. Super Sub Adventure Darwin and Newts turn their waka into an underwater submarine to have fun with their dolphin friend Opo. The Great Garden Disaster When Heni leaves Newts to take care of her garden for a week, Darwin and Newts must figure out why some of the plants are not growing so well. The Bake Mistake In a fierce cooking competition, Darwin and Newts learn about the importance of yeast in order to make things rise. Rainy Day Fun After a day of mud sliding, Darwin, Newts and Heni have to problem solve when heavy rain endangers some of the Kiwifruit Valley creatures. Paper Plane Rescue Darwin & Newts learn about the different shapes of paper planes and then help Heni rescue Burpee from the top of a tree. Surf's Up Surf's up in Kiwifruit Valley, and Newts is determined to learn to surf like Heni. But one day the waves are huge and the next day they're gone and the kids have to figure out why. Tipsy Toppling Wobbly Crane When a raging river moves the bridge, Darwin and Newts must learn about counterweights so they can build a crane to reach out and retrieve it. Disappearing Duck When Heni organises her charity duckling river race, Darwin and Newts discover an underwater stream. Darwin and Newts Go Flat Out Darwin and Newts have a fun but fair football game after discovering that their football pitch is tilted and figuring out how to fix it. Orange Power When the battery on Darwin’s torch runs out just as he needs it most, he uses the power of oranges to get it working again. Goodbye Deer Friends When Wapiti’s eel friends get trapped on their journey downstream, Darwin, Newts and Heni use hydropower to help them on their way. Pollution Solution When an oil spill happens out at sea, the kids come up with a plan to save the sea animals of Kiwifruit Valley. Sheepy Gets a Haircut When a friendly sheep turns up in Kiwifruit Valley, Darwin and Newts have to figure out what to do about her very woolly coat. Hive Got a Problem Darwin & Newts follow a bee to learn why it is visiting flowers, and when the hive gets disturbed, they build a new beehive for Heni’s garden. Jet Powered Zipline Darwin and Newts enlist Heni’s leaf blower and some science to make the zipline go faster. Windy Weather Watching Darwin and Newts build a wind speed-and-direction measuring device to warn when the rain is coming. Time After Time When Darwin gets lost in his work, Newts comes up with a plan to help him keep track of time. Darwin and Newts Eggcellent Adventure Darwin and Newts find a mysterious egg on the beach and try to find out who it might belong to. They discover it is a sea turtle egg when the whole beach hatches at once!
